Hello to the fellow hair obsessed! Sorry it has been a few days since I posted at All For Hair. I had some “life stuff” that got in the way. But by way of an apology I’ve got a Beauty Product Review Blog Carnival that will take ten years off your life. OK—maybe not quite but it is pretty kick ass.

Below are submissions by fellow beauty seekers on their favorite beauty products.  Read the reviews because you just never know when or where you’ll discover your new favorite beauty product.

There’s no denying it—summer is harsh on your hair. Heat and damage from the sun plus chlorine and salt can all work together to leave your hair feeling like its own version of a straw hat. But thankfully there are specifically designed hair care products to combat this summertime abuse.

Cue Warren Tricomi’s Strength Collection. This line is packed with vitamins and silicone to strengthen the hair from the inside out plus keep the outer cuticle smooth and tangle free. If you can keep the outer layer from snarling and breaking you’ve won most of the dry hair battle right there.

One of the most important factors to take into consideration when choosing a hairstyle that suits you is your face shape. Today we’re talking about hairstyles for round faces and which ones to gravitate to as well as which ones to avoid.

What to Look for in a Good Hairstyle

The trick to a good complimentary hairstyles is very similar to how we apply makeup. You want to accentuate the good and downplay or camouflage the bad. With hairstyles for round faces you want to counteract some of the roundness and make the face appear a little longer rather than wider.

We’ve all seen them—those God awful hair color faux pas that leave us wondering “What the hell were you thinking?” Well, about two weeks ago my husband and I took our two little girls to an annual event where I live called the Teddy Bear Picnic.

This is always a popular event and brings in a crowd from all areas of the city. It also brings in some hair color disasters the likes of which hasn’t been seen the early days of Cyndi Lauper. Below is one of three pictures my loyal (and brave) assistant (husband) managed to snap off using our phone’s camera without being detected.

If you think all flat irons are created equal I’m here to burst your bubble. Though we all love getting something for next to nothing when it comes to the best flat irons you really do get out of them what money you put in to them.

Today there is some amazing technology going into the simple flat iron. Ceramic plates glide though the hair, preventing breakage while tourmaline, a type of crystal, technology produces negative ions that promote shine and silkiness.

Today I’m showcasing a couple of the hairstyles of Shannyn Sossamon. I’ll show you how to create her short and choppy hairstyle as well as a longer version.

This is an older hairstyle of Shannyn Sossamon but still very noteworthy. The focus is the short and choppy bangs in front which are contrasted by the longer and slightly flipped layers on the sides and back. All throughout this hairstyle short choppy layers add movement and interest.

Is your hair color all that it could be? If you’re hair color is faltering instead of flattering chances are you chose the wrong shade of color for your skin tone. But don’t fret—there are some easy rules to follow that will make picking the right hair color a breeze.

Show Us Some Skin

If you’re going to choose a hair color that looks fabulous on you you’ll first have to take a good close look at the wrapper you came in. Your skin tone is one of the biggest factors in determining if a hair color will look fab or drab so pay close attention.

So you’re a big fan of Hilary Duff’s hairstyles. Well then you’ve come to the right place. In today’s post I’m showcasing her sexy waves hairstyle.

Allure's

In this version of Hilary Duff’s hairstyle a large barrel curling iron is used to create big sexy curls that scream glam. To create this hairstyle apply a volumizing mousse to damp hair and give your hair a defined middle part. Section your hair into two sections, a top and bottom section, pinning the top section up and out of your way. Begin blow drying the bottom section with a large round brush. Work from root to tip, angling the nozzle of the blow drier downward to avoid fly away hairs. Once the bottom section is dry let down the top section and repeat until all your hair is completely dry.
